Say one thing Do another?

“I’m tired of politicians that say one thing and do another.”

-Bobby Banks

That is the statement made in big bold type in the mailer from Bobby Banks  that you probably got in your mailbox too.  But if you are anything like me you had a confused look on your face when you read those immortal word from the would be filler of the open House seat.

Why, you ask?  Well, those of us who were listening heard Mr. Banks say he was done with politics when he toted a whoopin from Craig Lutz in his last endeavor.  So Bobby, why are you running again if you were done with politics?

Say one thing – Do another?

Bobby was quoted on a radio show saying he would attend the debates and such during this election, but at the GOP Freedom Rally, Mr. Banks shook some hands and then fled when it was time to speak at the rally.  It is my understanding that Banks was invited to talk.   Four of his opponents took the opportunity to speak, including the only seated politician in the race, Kris ” Going the extra Yard” Yardley.

You did list yourself as a Republican on the ballet right?

Say one thing – Do another?

You are tired of   OTHER   politicians saying one thing and doing another??

So you are actually saying that you are tired of other politicians using YOUR campaign techniques??

We the people are tired too.  tired of lies.  But we thank you Bobby Banks.  We the People of Hall county really do thank you for letting us know ahead of time what we could expect from you if we were to decide to elect you.  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to vote for someone who isn’t double talking to us and treating us like we are stupid.

So we are going to employ your technique…   We, the voters, are going to SAY we will vote for you, but we are actually  going to check  another!

I just don’t see how a person can run as a Republican, but refuse to talk to Republicans. I hear that he wasn’t the only person that walked. Someone told me that Reed bailed and sent a delegate up to speak to the party. Not cool.

Yeah I’m surprised Bobby even showed up, heck the fact that he made it out of there alive is surprising. I actually heard from some people in Sterling that Reed had scheduled a meet and greet in flowery branch that night. That he was there for an hour or so but wasn’t able to stay the whole time. I think the delegate was his nephew or something like that. He must of figured meeting the voters of flowery branch was more important.

I think that meeting the voters is great. This forum, however, had been on the schedule since sometime this summer. I still believe that if you are going to put an “R” behind your name, you need to be there to speak with the “R”s. BTW: the person that talked to me was also at the debate and said that his relative did a better job.
